Blind in one eye. Need to purchase?
Are looked for a new horse and saw a huge little 16. 1HH, gelding 8 years old. He’s well educated, and jump a way of jumps, 1. 30m, however can jump 1. 50m.
It is a charming character and it is protected enough for my daughter to travel. I have the ability to never compete at a high level again, however I’d do a tiny ‘of dressage and to attend a little local displays low-Demonstrate jumping. MA. . . . This horse is blind in one eye. He was expelled 4 years ago and hit his eye on a pole. He competed in the endure 4 years after the accident and does not mention him in some way. Do you’ve reservations around the buy if it was simply what you need / need? Mounted in a forward line entire the steps and over the fences.

Yes, I have a horse that broke his skull and lost an eye because of it. She is a fantastic horse and acts like any other horse.
If a little ‘more gruesome his blind side.
The casks to run with her and she trusts me to navigate. Everything I have problems with it is to wind up his blind side, which has a difficult time staying in a circle in the pen takes año.Y all perfectly in his blind side. I have trained to not let go of the shoulders in front of me and the attention is paid so well that even if she sees me she listens and stops just before my shoulder cadera.Estoy be sure that when you have a good will and adherence confidence in you, you should have no problem jumping. My horse jumps for me, just for fun at home. I am a west corridor.

I met a lot of horses blind in one eye, and not be able to tell the difference – to carry out fantastic, with one eye so I definitely give him a oportunidad.Sólo is interested, can have problems with the domestication of horses with one eye tend to have a little ‘of torticollis, why spend much time with his head turned in one direction and see. This can affect the way you go a bit ‘when you’re trying to find work in dressage, and probably will surely marks llamó.Así give it a go, because it is likely to be a great horse, and if they competed in the last 4 years, of course, deal with the fine – but we know that can not be certain physical defects, little half-blind horse.

No, go ahead and get it! he must be a great horse. Might be a little ‘fear when it comes to what he wants to take it easy the first week or so. Go slow and let him see everything you want to see. We recommend working with him for a while ‘b4 his daughter from him, unless you know how to handle a horse well. Goood luck with it!

Whey they receive veterinary supervision, make sure that the other eye is completely healthy – One Eyed horses are very well blind horse, not so much:] I had a TB that I bought blind in one eye. My original intention was for him a companion grass.
Then my horse is hurt, so I took some lessons from him – it was fantastic and ended up being my new hunter / jumper horse show. Only then you could see (the behavior) when he was blind (was tuberculosis, frightening happens:) You scared right on the blind side up instead of away. I’ve never seen a 16. 2 bronco hand up (not a back, a jump of 4 meters) and land in exactly the same place that started a.
It ‘been a lot of fun (: Note that the eye will begin to decline – as the muscle, which will become smaller, if not used. May have to remove later on the road (think 10-15 years). And if you ever want to sell will be more difficult. I do not think I’ve ever seen a horse with an eye to go over $ 500 – $ 600

Been there, done that. We have 2 horses in the stable, blind in one eye, the other is missing one eye. Are amazing horses and their owners do not change the world (a son Hunter, the other short bracket) and I think that in this way – the two horses are so beautiful, there is no way in the world his people were able to pay, if they have eye problems. Of course, come!

I saw this movie (itself based on a true story) When this lady who had a horse that is used in dressage, one day the horse was blind. She was going through difficult times, the husband left, he had no money, stranded by a daughter, and the bank loan he took the horse would recover (What spelling errors), the horse if you have 10 thousand dollars. He wanted to go to the dressage competition where the prize was 10 k.
It ‘been a horse of loans from friends, but the horse was limping and had trusted his horse and won the dressage with his horse blind. Which is based on a true story, so do not reject a horse that is blind in one eye and the horse in history has been blind in both eyes,

There’s a woman in my barn with a horse completely blind, and blind in one eye and the other removed due to glaucoma. And ‘huge and is installed on open trails without problems.
It is also a very nice horse! If you have reservations, why not spend some time with the current owner and the horse. You can see how you’re used to being treated in the same time is giving different signals. Would be the owner of a smooth transition. Not specify whether he had the same owner or if you have many different drivers. For example, perhaps, when asked themselves the right of the owner can touch lightly on the shoulder and say “back”, but you can usually just turn the rope and expect him to follow.
It’s the little everyday things that make hundreds of times with a horse I’m talking about, particularly in the field. Once you work with him a couple of times, then I believe that there will be a much better idea of how the horse really comfortable and are like a horse juntos.Suena is absolutely incredible in her eyes adjusted.
But we must be able to trust him, otherwise it is always worrisome. Going to work with him for a week in order to obtain the confidence in this horse!

sounds good, you should be aware that you can not see things this way.
Sounds like he trusts completely its drivers, so be aware that to achieve and leads to victory!

I met with a look of several horses. All have been reliable workhorses.
If the good eye is good, then I buy it.

I used to ride a horse, which had only one eye, it was awesome! Sounds like the horse is so cool though, if you act normal and not do anything wrong and not very good, why do it just because he is blind in one eye?
By ShadeE
I would definitely buy it. Just because he’s blind does not mean that the horse is perfect! A Storm in May, is a racehorse and she is amazing even if it is blind in one eye. When a blind horse that does not mean anything.
